Currently as Managing Director and Global Head of Wholesale Middle Office at HSBC Holdings, Stuart leads Middle Office Operations for HSBC’s investment bank and is responsible for various financial crime, legal, and regulatory controls globally. He also runs and manages the onboarding and maintenance of clients to HSBC’s investment bank.
Stuart was born and raised in South Africa and attended University in the USA where he played Division 1 soccer and also ran track. After serving 9 years in the British Army, Stuart worked at Goldman Sachs and Stryker Europe before joining HSBC in 2012. Prior to his current role, he most recently served as Managing Director and Head of Client Operations for GBM Business Services at the company.
